Co-Founder & CTO
Andrew McCalip is the CTO and co-founder of Cosine Additive, a Houston based company that is bringing size and speed to the polymer 3d printing market. Andrew has a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Texas A&M university. He has worked in the R&D laboratories of numerous companies, ranging from automotive and aerospace composite structures to cryogenic oilfield products. Andrew’s specialty is the overlap of material science, electromechanical automation, and business. His passion for manufacturing and grasp of market forces has allowed him to scale an idea into a multi-million business in less than 24 months. He has always been the youngest guy at the table. He had an early start, bringing home 6,000 pounds of Bridgeport milling machine at the age of fourteen. By twenty-one he had two dozen parts fly to the international space station. At twenty-five he founded Cosine with the goal of creating an entirely new class of polymer printer.
