Computed Tomography (or CT) is a powerful X-ray inspection tool. With the shift towards electric vehicle manufacturing, new inspection needs have arisen. CT imaging provides a wide range of tools for new energy vehicle (NEV) technology from R&D to quality assurance. This talk will introduce CT technology and explain how it can be applied to the NEV manufacturing industry. After an overview, a focus on non-destructive imaging in EV battery technology will be explored. From imaging of raw materials to full EV modules, CT is an increasingly integral aspect in the manufacturing of EV batteries.
